With over 20 years of clinical experience, Dr Carmen Karadeniz is the Specialist Orthodontist at Mars Orthodontics. She earned her PhD in Orthodontics from Nagasaki University, Japan, and has taught postgraduate orthodontics at the University of Sydney and James Cook University.
Her work has been recognised by the Asian Pacific Orthodontic Society, and she reviews for orthodontic journals. Her clinical interests include complex cases and treatment planned alongside jaw surgery.

Makaela is the organisational engine behind Mars Orthodontics! After more than six years as a dental assistant, she has swapped the scrubs for spreadsheets (and still some scrubs) as she steps confidently into practice management. She’s excited to grow her career with a team that’s just as supportive and energetic as she is.
When she’s not making sure the clinic runs like a well-oiled spaceship, you’ll find her at the gym, soaking up the sun at the beach, or doing anything that keeps her feeling healthy and happy. She’s all about good vibes, smooth systems, and making every patient’s smile journey feel easy, enjoyable, and stress-free.
Candice is our highly experienced dental assistant, bringing over 13 years of knowledge and expertise to our team. Her depth of understanding and calm, capable nature makes her an invaluable part of every patient’s journey.
She is deeply committed to ensuring that everyone feels cared for, both patients and team alike, and approaches her work with genuine enthusiasm and attention to detail.
Outside of the clinic, Candice enjoys tending to her home-grown vegetable garden and spending time outdoors, where her green thumb truly shines. She has a true passion for caring for her animals, sharing her home with 3 cats, 2 dogs, 2 birds, and a lively flock of chickens.
Kayley is our front-of-office superstar. With over a year of administration experience under her belt, she’s your go-to for getting things sorted quickly, smoothly, and with a smile.
Originally from Adelaide, Kayley is loving life in Brisbane and spends her free time exploring everything the city has to offer. You’ll often find her strolling along the South Bank riverside, soaking up the sunshine (and yes… the occasional sunburn) while embracing her new surroundings. She spends her cosy time indoors with her cat Winston, who she never fails to talk about.
